Terms of Service — Numera Maths

Welcome to Numera Maths ("Numera", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at https://numeramaths.com and the Numera learning platform (the "Service").

By registering for an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are signing up on behalf of a student, you agree to these Terms on their behalf.

1. Accounts and Eligibility

Parents and Guardians: To register a student profile, you must be a parent or legal guardian of the student and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for managing your student's linked profile and ensuring they use the platform safely.

Tutors: Tutors using the platform to assign worksheets and track progress must maintain professional conduct and obtain any necessary permissions from parents before inviting students to link to their tutor dashboard.

Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You agree to notify us immediately at support@numeramaths.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

2. Our Service and Subscriptions

Numera Maths provides a curriculum-aligned practice platform, including automated worksheet generation, AI-powered hints, video links, progress tracking (the Mastery Matrix), and (where applicable) live tutoring coordination.

Free Trials: We may offer a 14-day free trial of our Practice Tier. If you do not upgrade to a paid plan before the trial ends, your access to premium practice features may be restricted.

Paid Subscriptions: Billing is handled securely through our payment partner, Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew on a monthly basis until cancelled.

Cancellations and Refunds: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you will retain access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months of service.

3. Live Tutoring (Numera Plus)

If you subscribe to our Numera Plus plan:

Session Booking: Tutoring sessions must be booked through the Numera Maths scheduling system.

Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a live tutoring session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be forfeited and cannot be refunded.

Tutor Conduct: All tutoring is conducted online in a safe, professional environment. Tutors are thoroughly vetted and background-checked to ensure student safety.

4. Acceptable Use

We want Numera Maths to be a safe, positive learning environment. You and your student agree not to:

Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any security features of the platform (including our database Row-Level Security).
Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to extract content or worksheets from the platform.
Share accounts or login credentials with users outside your immediate household or authorized tutor.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on Numera Maths — including the software, website design, math questions, worksheet templates, algorithms, graphics, and the "Mastery Matrix" — is the intellectual property of Numera Maths or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of our platform or content.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Numera Maths shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. While we strive for 100% accuracy in our curriculum materials, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, exam grades, or test results.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by placing a prominent notice on our website before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Numera after the changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
